Another month flies by - February

When you have kids, the days feel really long....but the weeks and months seem like they just fly by. I can't believe how grown up Sam is getting, and Stella...well she's still little but she's growing up too! I love that I can be at home with them and enjoy every moment with my little munckins.

Sam's fascination with animals extends beyond just farm animals. He loves to go see and feed the ducks. So, we often go for a walk to a nearby pond where he can sit and watch them.

Of course, Shelby loves the walk too...

I love this picture because it captures the first moment I saw the kids actually playing together. It made my heart melt...I look forward to watching them make so many memories together.

Nothing like a little painting on a rainy day...my little Picasso

She often laughs while eating and sprays her food everywhere! It's too cute to get upset about :)

Ready for our walk...

She thinks mirrors are so funny!

Being silly with daddy before her first flight to El Paso!

Dads and Donuts

Sam's school had a Dads and Donuts event, and of course, Sam was thrilled to have daddy join him at school that morning! Here they are on the way to Sam's classroom.

It was really sweet seeing the dads sitting there with their little ones, eating donuts and drinking apple juice out of teeny tiny cups :)

Working on their hand painting activity...love that Justin had to go to work with a little orange paint on his hand :)

Looking out the window at all the crazy mommies that crashed the event just so they could take pictures! Yes, of course I was one of those mommies :)

As we suspected, Sam did not want daddy to leave...so, daddy had to walk him to his music class. There were a few tears shed when he left, but luckily Sam was soon distracted by the music and fun once he got into his classroom.

Zoo with the Crew

Sam loved the zoo so much the first time, we thought we'd take him again when Grammy and Papaw came to visit. And to make it even more fun, his best buds Ben and Bryce came along! It was such a great day, and I think the boys had a blast :)

Sam absolutely loves all animals, and wanted to touch, feed and/or pet every one. We started out in the Children's part of the zoo so they could ride the pony and pet the goats.

Here's Sam going on a pony ride, loving every minute!

Ben decided that pony riding was not his thing, so Sam got to go one more time in his place :)

Bryce decided to give it a try too :)

My little farm boy...

The boys are checking out the tiger...

Justin decided that I had to try the hurricane simulator, so I did because I'm a trooper :) Poor Sam got scared when he saw me in there, so I had to reassure him I was ok!

Walking the zoo...

Sweet Ben and Bryce...love that they let me hold their hands an hold them for a while.

Sam being goofy...love that boy!

Our fun crew...minus the photographer, Papaw

Daddy's little girl

This is what happens when you tell two toddlers to look at the camera :)

Justin took Sam to feed the giraffes, all while carrying Stella in the Baby Bjorn. What he didn't think about was just how close that giraffe would get to baby girl's face...

Here you can see that it just about scared her to death....poor baby!

But she was all better after mamma loved on her a bit :)

Sam, on the other hand, could not get enough of the giraffes. He wanted to keep feeding them and we had to bribe him in order to finally leave.

And finally, we got to see the lions before we headed out. Such a fun day, we'll have to go back soon!
